I would name such a fund "Visa recapture fund" or something that clearly identifies our requirement. But again, we will not be very loud if you contribute to such funds as, when compared to many others who contribute, our number is very small.

My brothers in blood, please calm down… Mahatma Gandhi had his own way of fighting for freedom and so did Subhash Chandra Bose. They must have agreed and disagreed with each other on many things. But at the end of day, their motive was the same “Justice and Freedom”.
We might have our differences, our opinions and ways of doing things, but we need to understand that our motive is the same. We should stop bickering with each other and concentrate on the main goal. We should keep encouraging our members to join hands and unite and fight for the cause.
Though you might not agree with each other, you still need to see how severely the issue must have affected the other person which is why they are here and ready to fight.
Please pull your (s)words to fight the injustice rather than fight with each other.

This has been there since a long time . Every new process has its backes and the resisters . The president of the US resisted the telephone also when Edison invented it . Relax don't lose your sleep about it . Atlanta is backlogged due to the incompetence and heavy workload of workers there . nothing more , nothing less .

If I may suggest it may help our funding drive if we allow smaller contributions. (20$ or 10$) both recurring and one time.
I know at least a couple of people who would do a 20$ 2-3 times a year but won't do a $50. Anecdotal but may hold true for a lot more people.

@OP, Yes. You can open LLC and/or S-Corp on EAD. If you plan on working for the same company, I suggest you do it in the name of your significant other if you are (un)lucky like me and married. Also checkout the option of "LLC filing taxes as a S-Corp". Here is link to more details from IRS.

I guess the reason for moving back eb2 I dates is strategic. Since they have the whole year to use the 140 K visas, they might be trying to start the year conservatively, trying to honor FIFO.

I had a similar problem last year. Could not get the needed loan and finally gave up arguing with the 2 loan officers from 2 banks. Sorry can't give a cheerful picture:(
