I think the impetus required by IV will take time. Just 2 years ago, most of us got EADs/APs for themselves. It'll take time for the frustration to build up in those people who missed the boat. Their numbers are not many. It'll be a while before their numbers grow and they demand some kind of similar action from the US government.

Just to let u know, during my H1 processing, my H1 was thrown back to my lawyer asking them to send photographs of my workplace and co-workers, server room, my desk. I had to use an entire disposable camera for the same. To make things even funnier, i was not even the First one to be on H1 in my company. We had atleast 7-8 H1's at one point in time. The reason given for a throw back was, that this company seems quite new and small.
I know this is off topic, but since someone has raised this point albeit in jest, i thought i should let people on here know that UCSIS has it's own whims and fancies at times. So if something similar has happened to you in the past know that you may not be alone. :)

AILA has reported a very interesting or confusing DOS LegalNet Office letter which one of the members received towards the fact that the consular posts had already been allocated their numbers for the month of July prior to EB visa numbers becoming unavailable on July 2 and that the posts may continue to use their July allocations of EB numbers, and continue to issue Immigrant Visas for the rest of this month, July, for those applicants who were scheduled for IV interviews in July. Hm.....................................

I agree looks like CIS is getting its act together. but with such a big jump in dates. We will see random approvals like May 2006 before July 2004 etc.
Is this big jump for EB2 due to overflow from other categories? Is this as a result of awareness around visa wastage?

i dont get it..why r folks so happy...i agree its current till 06..but that does not mean that people are goin to get green cards...it just means that till 06 whoever had not got a chance to apply for 485 can now apply...congrats to them...but i beleive there are not many people like that..

Yes, CA DMV takes quite a while to get clearance from DHS to validate your legal stay before they issue you DL.

Nothing against EB2 or other, at least let them enjoy the freedom.
It is really frustrating, because of the mistake by the attorney or stupid company policy etc, people like us with pd 2001 etc waiting on EB3. In my case I had PG with 7 yrs exp when filing, but for the stupid lawyer and company policy. putting aside the original classification of categories, given the present scenario, Not sure what way EB2 is better than EB3
Paskal is watching you! EB3 deserves this. I am EB3 India 2005, in for a looooong wait for another decade? May be.
And, BTW is somebody hijacking this thread?!?! Not me, Paskal!

Candidates for Red:
1. Using third class language
2. Unnecessary and stupid arguments
3. Narrow minded comments
4. Immature thinking
Candidates for Green:
1. Valid and logical thought process
2. No foul language whatsoever
3. Politeness
4. Likable comments
What's hyappening with ssnd's comments is...instead of getting red for all of his filthy comments, somebody is giving him green. God bless IV.

Have all those visas made available been used up so far by USCIS? I doubt it.

All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available
simple means that
all visa number (for FY-2007) are used up. They were made available to USCIS by DoS.
