This is a real selfish forum, I will never participate in any phone campaigns here on. To me I see no reason why should I be calling for others if noone can call for our issue too.
I again urge people on this forum to please call / email the DOL asking why such a difference between two processing center.... I mean all those who have approved labor. We still have people at backlog center... I am ready to campaign for them or any other person .... But want check out if this is a real community or just selfish hoax forum ....

I agree with this posting by nixstor 100%; Instead of utilizing this issue for contacting congressmen/senators and urging them to work towards more benefits for legal immigration like recapturing 180,000 unused visas in the past years, we are unnecessarily focussing our attention towards security lapses in approvals and inefficiences of USCIS.
What the hell on earth is this? Do you know for sure they have ignored it? Do not add masala to the existing crap. Do you understand the consequences of these kind of spiced up stuff? We all would be sulking in the security check for ever, if DHS gets pissed off or gets a congressional hearing and the authorities get lambasted over this. You are seeing how doctors are being implicated in UK and all over. Security is the most important thing right now on this planet and western world is agog over security. I dont know from where Greg Siskind and Jay Solomon got the tip off. They tipped each of their hats off and put the story in our brains to run the show. Security is not a Joke. Do not make it a bigger issue unless you dont know whether it really has happened. The consequences can be pretty dangerous to the extent of revoking all the issued GC's in the past 20 days, if congress gets high on this. I dont know what lawyers want, but my understanding is none of us want to have negative consequences of this issue.
No matter who screwed up, we should be conveying the following message after we say that USCIS/DOS goofed up.
"The root cause of the situation is the inability of
a) DOS/USCIS to recapture the visa numbers from previous years
b) to carry forward the unused numbers for atleast one year
If congress makes the needed legislative changes to solve the above two issues, USCIS/DOS will not be in the ugliest predicaments like they are in right now"
Its our choice to make USCIS/DOS our enemies or we get compassionate to the situation considering how arcane the current laws are. We agree or not, we have to work with them going forward. If you have made a contribution and posted on this thread or on the thread we had before your name should be on the list. We do not have an automatic way of updating this list once someone had made a contribution through paypal at this time. Every night I go through this thread, update numbers and names. I could have made a manual error and missed some names but once people have brought that to my attention I have been double checking and responding back to them. I know I am behind on verifying one or two contributions but I will catch up. I work long hours,take classes and I live 80 miles away from where I work. I wish I had more than 24 hours in my day. If you could help us with maintaining an accurate list that would be awesome.

Agenda of lobbying remains same. It doesn't change weeky/monthly or even annually. Country quotas, increase in EB gc numbers, portability issues. It is also on IV website. Please look. No more details other than that will be made available, unless a bill is on the floor, thats when you see the results. Results are hard to come by. Core cannot reveal roadblocks or mini successes as these are all detrimental to the effort.

my own guess..with all these random approvals and stuff happening i am guessing that the PD for eb3 india would be in late 2003 (dec 2003) or early 2004 like jan/feb 2004...

Just did some stats on , did only for texas service center
It appears that Notice Date is immaterial. As long as your PD is current.
So, you dont need to worry, if your notice date is Oct 2007 and TX processing date still shows July 17th. They are approving the cases as long as your PD is current in PD order which makes sense.
I see a case with Nov 12 2007 ND and PD of dec 2002 is approved.
Dont expect any LUD's either, Only suprise email matters....welcome to america, card production ordered.....:D

I am assuming that will be the end result. It means they will not be counted against any VISA CAP.
If I understood it right, they wanted to remove the 10% per country limit for the Nurses and Physical Therapist since a majority come from 3 countries - India, China and Phillipines

Your situation is similar to mine and I am sure lot more IVans are going thru the same.
I am in US for 10 years on H1b + EAD, and almost every day I attempt to weigh my options. It gets even tempting for people from India and other similar economies where finding a job is now piece of cake (for skilled worker). I also got carried away with American Dream and got into cars, house etc. assuming Legal Immigration is a sure shot in the land of opportunity, its just matter of time due to slow process but once you are in the line you are pretty much set. But now after so many years, situation doesn't looks that promising, especially after leaving what we had backhome, missing opportunities that other who-stayed have enjoyed, and now tempted to leave what we have build in US, brings me to square one. But I must solidify my ground before moving forward, and hence as long as I have job and I am confident that I will have a job no matter how bad economy turns, I will keep serving this country, and when I find that I have to make unreasonable sacrifices I will quit and happily goto any other booming economy, it could be India, Brazil, or any other country but with solid PR prospects, where I don’t have to giveup my career advancements, and I can plan for long term.

Thanks sy. I fully agree it's the agent we deal with. My BOA loan coordinator is extremely stubborn & doesn't have any clue regarding immigration. From day 1 she is stuck on unexpired I-94 & till today she asks me to furnish that. you need to stop getting answers from others and solve this problem amicably with you wife. There is nothing better than a one-one discussion with her.
Marrying is like buying a company, you have a moral obligation to account for any liabilities she may have.
Understand, she may have been the sole income earner in India for her parents. It doesnot hurt for you to send say 200-300 dollars every month. 700 dollars every month from your check is not that big deal (350 for each family). Don't make it a long term solution.
You have filed 485, what stops your wife from getting a job here?? Does she want to stay at home, watch TV and enjoy life? if she thinks that way, let her know, if she wants to send money to her parents long term, she needs to get out of house, find a job
Your wife should also have the heart to not burden you with financial requests. If she can get a job here, she should. If she earns money, its her's and its upto her how she spends that. If you can afford to tell her that, do it.

is there any hope for bridge legislation in '08?....or this year will pass by due to the elections?......is there any realistic chance of bridge amenment ever being passed?....i am starting to lose hope now......
